Prati di Logarghena – Monte Orsaro
Transfer to the Prati di Logarghena, prairies at 1000 asl in the Tuscan side of the Apennine National Park. From here we hike to the top of the Mt. Orsaro and then we walk along the marvelous path that runs along the whole Apennine ridge, enjoying views over the mild mountainside towards Parma with beautiful glacial lakes and over the steep side of Lunigiana, dotted with fascinating medieval villages and castles.
Overnight at the Lagoni Refuge, immersed in the silence of beech woods and its lake.
Monte Matto, Monte Sillara, Monte Bregalata
We hike the Mt. Matto, Sillara and Bragalata, before descending to the Agriturismo Montagna Verde, awarded in 2016 as one of the 5 best agriturismi in Italy. We will enjoy its genuine cuisine and products and relax in its beautifully restored “albergo diffuso” surrounded by chestnut trees.
Taverone and Bagnone valleys
Hiking both on road and path we will descend to the Taverone and Bagnone valleys, Mab Unesco reserve, walking partly on the pilgrimage path Via Francigena. We will reach the bottom of the valley and from here we will see the beautiful mountains we just crossed, from here we will continue the walk through characteristic medieval villages.
