Palermo - Cefalu'
Arrival in Palermo airport and transfer to Cefalu. Cefalu is one of the most popular and touristic seaside resorts, located on the Northern coast of Sicily, just 70 km from Palermo. Cefalu is considered one of the most beautiful villages of Italy (I Borghi piu’ belli d’Italia). Free time for visiting Cefalu, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Cefalu – Castel di Tusa – Santo Stefano di Camastra - Cefalu
Today we will explore the surroundings of Cefalu. In the morning we will cycle along the sea and we will enjoy the beautiful panoramas on the sea on one side and on the mountains on the other side. We will visit „Fiumara d’Arte” museum in Castel di Tusa – an open-air museum made up of a series of sculptures of contemporary artists located along the banks of the river Tusa. Lunch in a design hotel and short visit of the hotel – museum. In the afternoon we will cycle uphill to see a sculpture – pyramide made by the artist Mauro Staccioli from where you can enjoy a wonderful panorama. After a short stop here we will continue cycling to reach Santo Stefano di Camastra famous for it’s pottery. Free time for visiting the town. Return to Cefalu by minibus or by train. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Cefalu – Castelbuono – Santuario di Gibilmanna – Cefalu
Today we will take again the bikes and we will go to Castelbuono. The distance is 22 km uphill, but we will confront it with several photo stops at panoramic points. The charming medieval village Castelbuono is located at height of 430 m, we will visit a castle and some churches here. Free time for a lunch and continuation to Gibilmanna sanctuary at the height of 800 m, another panoramic point offering fabulous panorama on the sea and on the regional park „Parco delle Madonie”. After a rest we will cycle down back to Cefalu. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Cefalu – Palermo – Monreale - Cefalu
After the breakfast we will take a bus or a train to go to Palermo. Today we will explore this elegant city, thanks to the bicycles and a local guide we will easily access to the heart of the city – the Cathedral and other testimonies of the Norman presence in Sicily. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon we will cycle uphill to reach Monreale – a charming city with its famous Dome cathedral, we will enjoy a great view on Palermo from here. After visiting Monreale we will return to Cefalu by bus or by train.
Cefalu – Caccamo – Rasamarina lake - Cefalu
After the breakfast transfer to Caccamo. We will visit this beautiful medieval village and its castle. Caccamo castle is among the largest and best preserved Norman castles in Sicily, and one of the largest in Italy, it is built on a steep cliff, 521 m above sea level and it overlooks the surrounding countryside, including the San Leonardo River Valley, and the Rosamarina lake. We will continue cycling to reach the Rosamarina lake – an artificial basin created for hydro-electric purposes, the lake has become a popular place for fishing and relax thanks to the clean water. We will cycle around the lake and then we will enjoy a typical lunch in a local farm. After the luch a deserved rest at the lake. Return to Cefalu in late afternoon, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Cefalu – Polizzi Generosa – Collesano - Cefalu
After the breakfast transfer to Polizzi Generosa, a typical village that enjoys a beautiful panoramic position, overlooking the southern and northern sides of the Imera valley. This village is a birth place for such celebrities as the designer Domenico Dolce, the actor Vincent Schiavelli and also the grandparents of film director Martin Scorsese. After a short visit we will cycle downhill again admiring the beautiful panorama. We will first arrive at Collesano, home of the Targa Florio Museum, a historic automotive competition that takes part in these territories for more than 100 years and has always attracted great names from all over the world.
Free time for a lunch and continuation to Himera archeological zone. Finally we are back on the coast and we cycle the last km to Cefalu along the coast. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
